Joanna Bryson from the Department of Computer Science, University of Bath, and The Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution & Cognition Research, Austria will be leading the debate as part of the Bath Cafe Scientifique programme of events.

Robot Scenes at Brighton Science Festival

The Science Communication Unit at the University of the West of England present a 1 hour workshop combining your favourite flicks with real robotics. Using clips from familiar films, the workshop will explore the possibilities of robotics research for the future. Through discussion participants will explore themes such as robot ethics, cyborgs, the role of the domestic robot and more..

Engagement Workshop in Robotics, Animatronics and Artificial Intelligence

Are you a researcher in the fields of Robotics, Animatronics or Artificial Intelligence? Would you like to learn more about how to engage the public with your work? Or gain practice at applying for funding? Or perhaps you are already involved in public engagement and would like to work with researchers in these fields?

Join us on February 18th - 20th for a Public Engagement Workshop in Robotics, Animatronics and Artificial Intelligence. The course is provided completely free; we will also reimburse all travel, and provide a drinks reception, 3 night's bed and breakfast in the Bristol IBIS hotel and a conference dinner.

Shropshire Skills Fair

Network members from the Intelligent Robotics Group at Abersytwyth University will be exhibiting at the Shropshire Skills Fair run by Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Education Business Partnership. There will be interactive hands-on as well as static exhibits of their boats, large rover and kite platform.
