"The Robot Garden"
Claire Rocks and Emily Dawson joined pupils at Rhosnesni High School in Wrexham to build a Robot Garden. Funded through a Royal Society Partnership Grant they worked with the teacher, Mark Harmsworth, and 25 Year 8 and 9 pupils to design and build robot flowers, robot bugs and a backdrop to accompany it.

Robot Thought at The Centre for Life, Newcastle
The Centre for Life, in partnership with the University of Edinburgh, kick off this leg of the national roll out of this interactive dialogue event, designed to challenge and stimulate public thinking about the latest developments in robotics.

RoboFesta-UK 7th Annual Open Meeting
Educators, academic researchers and industry representatives are meeting at the Open University to discuss the development of RoboFesta-UK and Walking with Robots. The RoboFesta-UK annual open meeting is unique in its scope, and in previous years has provided fertile ground for establishing new robotics related initiatives on local and national scales. A highlight of this year's meeting will be a presentation incorporating the best features of public performances held in Science Centres across the UK over the past year as part of the EPSRC-funded "Robot Thought" project.

FIRST LEGO League South West Tournament
First Lego League is an international programme for children aged between 9 and 16 years that combines a hands-on, interactive robotics program with a sports-like atmosphere using the LEGO MINDSTORMS Robotics Invention System. Claire will be judging the South West regional tournament.

Vision Conference
Walking with Robots, in partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering and the London Engineering Project, are hosting a Young Peoples' Vision Conference. The conference will provide 45 post-16 students from a number of schools in the London area with a unique opportunity to explore visions of their future and the part robots will play.
