Kathleen Richardson

Kathleen Richardson is a social anthropologist completing her PhD on the making and makers of human-like robots. She is particularly interested in the shifting boundaries between humans and robots. In 2006, Kathleen organised the Cambridge Robot Project, an event to mark the 85th anniversary of the invention of the robot. Since then she has hosted an exhibition called "Politics and the Robot" to show how the robot was first invented as a character in a play that was a commentary on society and politics of the 1920s.
